Zoom Meeting Updates

Authentication Obstacle Removed
You must delete and recreate your classes for this vital update to take effect:
We discovered that Zoom was asking for authentication to join. This has been fixed. So now, individuals will enter your class as soon as they click the "Join Now" button on their home page.
Easy Class Testing
We have now made all class buttons on all home pages "live" - meaning that they link to your Zoom Meeting even when class is not in session. This is so that you can test your classes, at any time.
How to Test Your Classes
You can always ask a student to help you test, but it's worth it to create a "test lead" which you can use over and over again - to test your affiliate links, to test your text and email messaging before you send it, to test your classes at anytime, and to see what your home page looks like.
1. Copy-Paste one of your Affiliate Links from the Marketing Tab

2. In the registration form, enter a test lead name that you will remember
  • so you can always continue testing with this profile

3. Provide/create an email for testing, and register with that address.
  • the email must be unique, not associated with any other portal account
  • not your ARCS email
  • not any email you may have used for previous testing
  • Gmail is recommended, if you need to create a new address.

4. Provide/create an alternate phone number, and register with that number.
  • the number must be different than the one listed in your ARCS Portal Account.
  • Google Voice is recommended, if you don't have an alternate cell.

5. Complete registration and take screenshots
  • so you can truly understand this process from the lead's perspective.

6. Logout of your Coach Account on the portal
  • remember to save your password first

7. Follow automated "Free Online Workshop" email, and login to the ARCS Portal as your test lead.
  • you will receive this in the inbox of the email address you input into the registration form (#3, above)

8. Testing Variables
  • Make sure you are listed as your test lead's Coach.
  • Make sure all of your classes are listed, for the test lead's gender
  • only gender-appropriate class offerings will show on each lead/student home page
  • Click on the button next to each class
  • Since your class is not in session, you should see a Zoom Window popup that says: 
    ​"Waiting on Host to Start Meeting"
