(903) 205-8145 justmebytinamarie@gmail.com tina.cannon@arcstofreedom.com My name is Tina, I live in East Texas with my husband of 8 years. We have 3 kids and 2 "grandbabies".
I grew up in a home with an alcoholic father and an emotionally abusive mother. Then, I later married an alcoholic who relapsed shortly after we got married. He was emotionally abusive and destructive with our lives and ended up in jail for 2 years. I was left to clean up the mess and lost everything we had. My father became extremely ill and passed away before my husband came home. I struggled with depression and buried myself in my job --- which was a highly stressful environment, and I ended up extremely sick from the stress. Once my husband returned home and we started rebuilding our lives, my emotional state started to get out of control, and I knew at that point I had to start working on my recovery. Everything I had so carefully suppressed started coming out. Then the pandemic hit. I lost my job, and I suddenly had time to work on me with no excuses or distractions. I found an ad for ARCS while searching for work. I had been trying to work on myself for years, but life's distractions kept getting in my way. Now, in the middle of my crisis --- it seemed as if God was opening doors for me, and I finally had what I needed to start working on myself. I never expected ARCS to have such an impact on me, and I am so thankful that I found this program. When I learned that they offered coaching classes and the opportunity to coach, I was very excited. This is something that I have always wanted to do, but I didn't think it would be an option for me. I grew up in the AA rooms with my father, so the addiction-based assignments in the ARCS Program felt "normal" to me. However, as I moved into the inner child work and the emotional healing portions of the curriculum --- piece by piece, my deeply rooted issues started coming to the surface and the program carefully guided me through the healing process. I have always worked best by myself when it comes to the healing of emotions, since I have such deep trust issues. So, being able to work through this process at my own pace helped me be successful. I have always been deeply passionate about helping women. I feel like working with ARCS and my personal journey and experiences have given me the tools to successfully walk with other women through their own emotional healing journeys. I am extremely thankful that I have found ARCS, it has given me the chance to take back my life, break the cycle of abuse and addiction in my family and has given me the opportunity to share my story and the chance to help others. That's my story, and I look forward to hearing yours! |
